Krupajal Business School Annual Day Extravaganza

Bhubaneswar, February1,2010 : In a glittering extravaganza held in the institute campus of Krupajal Business School, Bhubaneswar yesterday, this leading business school in Orissa ushered in a new era of celebration and joyous fervour as the KBS family joined together in the Annual Day celebrations of 2010. In a befitting fashion, the institute had an august inaugural ceremony with Fr.P.D.Thomas, the Former Director of XLRI, Jamshedpur and present Dean, External Linkages and HR of XIMB gracing the ceremony as the Chief Guest. He was accompanied by the Chairman of the Krupajal Group of Institutions (KGI) Prof.Bhabani Chandra Rath and the Vice-Chairman of Krupajal Business School, Prof.Subrat Mishra. The Guest of Honour of the ceremony was Prof.Brajaraj Mohanty, Professor at XIMB. With the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries the Annual Day function was set truly in motion. The Director of Krupajal Business School (KBS), Prof.Ramesh Chandra Mahapatra welcomed the dignitaries and briefed about their profile and the presence of KBS as a leading business school in the educational domain of eastern India. Prof.Subrat Mishra, Vice Chairman of KBS highlighted in his address about the Krupajal Group of Institutions and how it had become a name synonymous with educational quality assurance and high ethical standards. The Guest of Honour of the ceremony, Prof.Brajaraj Mohanty encouraged the students to think beyond the confines of the theoretical text and to build their concepts which would help in the nation building process. The Chief Guest, Fr.P.D.Thomas urged the KBS students to hold to their ethical standards and to build confidence and commitment as the bedrock of their lives. He also motivated the KBS students to work and contribute to the society. He stated that while the world runs after consumerism, the KBS students should be different and stand as strong and ethical citizens of society. He highlighted that the students of KBS are known for their integrity and potential and therefore it is necessary that they keep the flag of KBS flying high. In his Presidential address, the Chairman of the Krupajal Group of Institutions, Prof.Bhabani Chandra Rath emphasized on the role of the Krupajal Group as a leading educational body which was committed to the development of the state and the nation. He also drew attention to the fact that many students of this institute have gone on to support the process of industry building and there are numerous instances of the Krupajal students becoming torch bearers of Indian industry. The programme was closed with a vote of thanks by Prof.Vijaya Batth of KBS. After the inaugural session, there were more than thirty five enthralling cultural events that were presented before a packed audience at Krupajal Business School. From dance to drama, from songs to instrumentals, from jokes to fashion shows, the cultural extravaganza at KBS was filled with fun, frolic and bubbling enthusiasm. The aspiring managers at KBS danced the night out to the thrilling beats of the DJ music and lived up to the KBS spirit of celebration.
